Bangkok Day 3

Hello boys and girls, today we decided to head down to the Royal Palace. There are two palaces in Bangkok and this is the old one, as in the king doesn't live there anymore. It is a huge tourist attraction and a must see. We set off a bit later in the day so we could get a bit more sleep. We have finally learned how to use taxis in this city, The same journey we payed 300 baht (6€) for yestarday and 150 baht (3€) yesterday evening now cost only 100 baht (2€). Everywhere around the palace were con-artists trying to sell us tickets for only 300 baht (that weren't valid ofcourse) but we avoided them with ease.
The grounds were incredible. First there was the emerald temple (the first foto) and then we headed into the actual palace area (foto 2). The entire complex makes versaille look like the dogs hut for the kings pet elephant. The temperature today was 38.5 C so after the 3 hour walk around the grounds we were basically dead men walking.

We headed back to the hotel for som R&R, poolside with a cold drink of water, lots of water. We were a bit to tired to head out to Kao san rd. (the back packers mecca). So we headed to Siam square instead. Siam Sq. is a huge shopping area with the a massive mall for the rich and famous (and rich, stupid tourists). The mall was amazing, the third floor was full of car dealerships, yes, with actual cars inside the stores, but not just any cars. Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari etc. was the name of the game.
Don't ask me how they got the cars up to the third floor, i just don't know. Finally, we got back to th hotel, after dinner. Now we are off to our favorite spot, the german beerhouse for a cold brew, and a live bundesliga match! The Finally foto is a foto of a regular powercable system in Bangkok, we have seen worse! Don't bother calling an electrican! I think we should call it "Connecting People!"
