Bangkok Day 4

Accounts of day 4: We began the day a little later than yesterday :D, we headed down to dursit zoo just for the heck of it. It was more of a shopping mall than a zoo, yes there were animals, but so are there in the streets (see day 1). In the middle of the zoo there was a bloody KFC... who puts a KFC in a zoo? but it was well worth it. For the trip there we took the skytram part of the way and decpite all our intuitions flagged down a tuk-tuk for the final 3-4 kms. I don't you if you know what a tuk-tuk is but i will try to describe it for you. Its basically a tricycle motorbike with a plastic roof, a bench in the back and a seat were the driver does what he does.

Most of the drivers seem to have graduated from the evil kenivel school of driving and they seem t have no clue about physics, driving and safety what so ever. The whole show was one hell of an adrenaline rush. Flying down the road at 80km/h and gliding through traffic milimeters away from other vehicles was by far the scariest experience so far... but it was cheap :D. We than spent a while by the pool and got some chow before we headed out to the legendary Khao San Rd. Now this place is cooler than any i have ever seen. Shops, bars, stalls, backpackers, anything you want basically.

I got me Liverpool shirt, two t-shirts, a pair of shorts and 6 cd:s for the insane price of 25€... gotta love it. We just got back to the hotel room and with AC DC blasting in the background i decided to share this info with you. The pictures of the day are of the KFC in the zoo and one from Khao San rd with a twist of tul-tuk madness. The plan for tomorrow is getting ourselves a decent tan and perhaps, if we can be bothered wander around a bit.

Rant of the day:

1. The taxi drivers still thinking we are perfectly willing to pay 10 times the normal price everytime we get in a cab.

2. Why is there egg in all thai food? If i order noodle soop with chili and shrimp, why the hell would i want egg in it? Why? Who likes egg that much?

Bonus of the day:

1. Seeing an elephant in a cage for once

2. Khao San rd! What more can i say... wicked!!!
