Kuala Lumpur Day 2 and fotos!

After Starbucks, we headed down to the KL tower (the 4th tallest communications tower in the world) We had lunch at 300m in the revolving restaurant (excellent food by the ay), the view was incredible! This really is a very beautifel city. Highrise buildings surrounded by parks and jungle. We then took a guided tour of Kuala Lumpur on the observation deck which gave us some ideas about what to see today.

After lunch we took a teksi (local for "taxi") to the batu caves. They are located 13km out of town. Guarding them is a huge golden statue at the base of the stairs into the caves. There are a total of 274 very steep steps to get to the caves (see foto).

This combined with 32 C and a humidity percentage of about 50 made for a very sweaty walk up. There are two grand caves connected by a lower cave area, complete with 2 temples inside and several shrines for silent prayer. Forgot to include the monkeys, lots of momkeys running around and eating coconuts. Cute from far away but slightly spooky up close.

Yeeea, monkeys! Love 'em. A friend of mine got bitten by one in Somewhere-far-away couple of years ago, but the locals said that if the monkey didn't die within 48 hours then it was rabies-free and everything would be cool... Sound advise, I'm sure. Well, neither died and all ended well. Take care anywho,
