Kuala Lumpur... tame french village!?!
Greetings from Starbucks in KL (why starbucks? free wireless internet dummies)! We arrived yesterday after a somewhat stressful check-out. I somehow in my dozyness decided to leave my tennis racket, sweater and tax-free gifts for our tutors in taiwan, in the hotel room. Then the hotels credit card reader decided to stop working but we made it with plenty of time to spare. The flight was amazing, malaysian airlines know good service and comfort, trust me!
KL is very nice. It incorporates all the good things from bangkok and has left out all the bad things for a slight increase in prices. There are even trees here, lots of them. Something i really missed in bangkok. The weather is the same, however it is a bit more humid and rain-prone. KL only has 1.4 million inhabitants though, so it feels like we have arrived at a quite french countryside village.
Yesterday we went out for dinner with Emma and Svena (who we are staying with) and had a look at time square mall. It is huge, with a rollercoaster that does loops and corkscrews inside the mall. Dinner was good and we finally headed down to the Petronas towers for a cocktail, after which we headed back to the flat. Thier apartment is on the 22 floor of Villa Puteri which is "perfectly located". It is huge! 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, 2 baths and a balcony. All with a great view.
Today (thursday that is) we are off to KL tower to eat lunch in the revolving restaurant at 300m and then of to the Batu Caves. I don't have any pictures from yesterday because i made the rookie mistake of leaving my camera at home. But i will get Andreas pictures and use them instead.
We have discussed going to a local island for some beach-time on friday afternoon and spending the night there, thus giving as a second day of beachy fun.
Unfortunatly Svena and Emma don't have internet access in the flat but i will try to write as much as possible!
p.s: Dad, Marzu and Ansku. If you are reading this then please go to www.google.com, search for "skype", go to the page given to you, download the software and start using it!!! It would be nice to talk to you :D

T o jag såg igår ett program om Petronas Towers byggnadsprojekt på National Geographic kanalen. Otroligt! Wish we could be with you - can't wait to hear your comments and to see the pictures!
