Almost like home... not really

As you saw in my previous post, my dad and two of my sisters arived in Kaohdiung last saturday and spent one week here. Unfortunatly I have class to go to but we still had the time to enjoy many delicious meals together aswell as a trip out into Kaohsiungs nightlife. On wednesday the nightclub "cube" was offering all-you-can drink night for 500NT so off we went, Dad, Martina, Annina, Joe, Marco and I (some of the french guys also showed up). The night started off slow but around 12 the club was getting crowded. Soon enough the dance floor was packed with taiwanese, some slightly tipsy (and i use this loosely)europeans and ofcourse after a couple of drinks... my father :D. We had a wicked time which ended with Marco being more or less without clothes (...naked) on the dancing stage. This would normally get you thrown out of any club with a slight detour via the police station on the way home, but no, here it got us "Wow, you guys really know how to party! ... Welcome back anytime!". Fortunatly Dad and my sisters had left before this occured. We also made a trip to Lotus Lake on wednesday, The lake is huge with several larger and even more smaller temples on and around the lake. The area was beautiful, slightly tacky, mindblowing and all in all pretty cool. I'll let the pictures do the talking on this one.

On an another note, the mid-terms are coming up with chinese on thursday and the finance course on monday the week after :| But then after that its smooth sailing for a while :D

Take care!

p.s: Annina & Martine: please send photos from your trip, especially from the night out by email to me!

Hi, thanks for everything last week, you really made it memorable :) I'm gonna send you pics when i get them downloaded to my computer (which might take a while, a week or so). Seems like Jolle and I are gonna be moving in together next week, but it depends (of course) on if the remppa gets finished. The weather here is incredibly rainy and stormy, it seems like your "october monsun" has changed course and gotten it's eye on Finland:( tell greetings to andreas, joe, marco, and the french guys! lot's of hugs and kisses from me, and see you next time on x-mas (at least for a couple of hours)´:)

They all send their regards to you! Thanks for a break from the culture shock even if it was no way near the same, it somehow felt like being home :)

Look forward to the pictures!!! Please remember to send them!!! you can send them to my kolumbus mail, which is just my last name (a) kolumbus.fi

(Don't want to post it here to avoid e-mail scanners from picking it up and using it for spam)

Hugs!
