Cutting ones hair in taiwan... worth it? Yes!

So another week has come and gone with most of my spare time going to shopping a birthday present (or 7) for my darling girlfriend and maybe someting small for me too. I did however find the time to try something new. Cutting my hair in Taiwan. A friend of mine (John from Canada) recommended a place to me and Andreas so we headed there. The place was a hip/trendy salon with stylists a plentty. They didn't however understand english. Personally i would say it's not a good thing to let an asian person go at it with pointy scissors if they have no clue what you want (asian haircuts are by the way horrible), but there weren't many other options. Soon however we were all on the same waylength after pointing at pictures of people in a magazine and the young lady/guy (not really sure which) got going. First up was a 30 minute washing and shampooing session consisting mainly of a head massage, which by the way was absoluty amazing. Then the cutting began. It went on for about 45 minutes and came to halt as soom hairgel was applied for the final look. When the stylist was done she held her breath and looked like a prisoner awaiting their sentence. I told her/him that it was good and thanked him/her. He/She let out a huge sigh of relief and started jabbering to her colleagues who also all let out sighs of relief, i had serious troube holding in my laughter :D. The bill was only 10€ which i would gladly pay again just for the head massage... awesome :D

This weekend will be a quiet one as we have a chinese test on wednesday and a paper proposal for monday. We also have our first basketball match on monday evening which should be awesome. Our team uniforms are looking awesome and should arrive by the end of next week when we have our cheerleader try-outs :D (we decided to take some advantage of our popularity).

Next weekend is already planned as dad and my sisters arrive in Taipei on saturday. I will be there too as Jay-z is having a concert then, connected as we are, we have VIP tickets to the pre and after partys which should get intresting!
