A great weight off my shoulders!
Finally the mid-terms are over and it feels great. Chinese wasn't too bad as i studied like crazy for it, but learning 70 characters, what they mean, how to draw them, pronounce them and use them in a sentence is no easy task I can tell you. After the oral part of the exam my teacher congratulated me on my vocabulary and pronounciation which i was very happy about. Today we had the portfolio management mid-term which was very hard. Fortunatly i had studied hard for it so i'm pretty sure i passed (which was not the case with most of the other students :D ). One thing i was surprised about was how hard the french exchange students tried to cheat during the exam. They were constantly whispering and trying to look at Joshuas, Jennys, Andreas and my paper. It really p*ssed me off! When i covered my paper up, one of the french students called me a "traitor". I simply smilled and said something that i won't type here because it will make my mother faint :D.
Well as i have been studying so hard, not much has been going on but now i'm back in the loop. Basketball season is picking up again with practice on wednesday and a tournament on sunday which i am really looking forward to. Our uniforms should finally arrive this week after many delays :/. We did however have them time to head out to Chichin island which is just outside Kaohsiung harbor. We had dinner at a really nice seafood restaurant (huge scampy, giant prawns, lobster, squid, eal and pumpkins noodles). The food was excellent as was the company. We went there with Jenny (sweden), Andreas (sweden), Martin (sweden), Andreas (Finland), John (Canada) and Krocodile (taiwan). Krocodile is a local student born and raised in Kaohsiung, but he lives with the international students to improve his English. He is the ultimate nerd, so nerdy infact the he is really cool :D. The other great thing is that he speaks exactly like "Yoda" from starwars... and i mean exactly! He has helped us a lot with getting around and he also helped a lot with finding stuff for my dad and sisters while they were here. Anyways... i icture says more than a thousand words so i included one :D

Food looks fabulous and it was well deserved - it also looks like you are in great company apart from the French which maybe are not French at all as this kind of behaviour is quite unusual -are you sure they are exchange students and not deporties?
Good look for the final part of you stay - you must be more than halfway through now??

Hi! it's so nice to read about what you've been up to:)
Our moving in has been delayed.. again. I think the guy who is renovaiting is def.. seriously, he first painted our livingroom blue, then beige (which it is at the moment) and we just want it white! like it was from the beginning. So we have to go talk to him again (and ask him to stop the repainting of our livingroom). And the guy and Jolle decided last week on a nice beige colour in the bathroom (and marked the colour on the coulourmap!). The next day he thought he was supposed to paint the bathroom bright blue..
It seems like we are moving in the 15, but you can't be sure.. i am confident that the kitchen will be violet the next time we go and check on the work. Anyway, i'll install my new computer the same sec we move in, and then i'll upload the pics and send you them:) right now it just seems like forever until we get the apartment.
It's snowy here already, all christmasy and wintery:)Has it become any colder there? I hope the midterms went well! (and good that you didn't let them cheat from your paper!) Miss you a lot, but on the other hand, we'll meet eachother in one and a half month, the time flies:)

Hope you get everything done in time for christmas. It takes a lot longer than you first expect. The moving the stuff there is only half the job. Finding a place for everything is a lot more frustrating and time consuming, but i wish you all the luck. It's true time flies, i just realised how little time i have left here and have started a list of all the things i still need to see and do.
As for the weather here, it doesn't look like winter or autumn for that matter will ever come. Sometimes there is a chilly breeze and i think to myself maybe i should have put socks and shoes instead of flip flops but then i realise i just walked into an air-conditioned room :D... just kidding, actually there has been a small drop so the temp is around 23-28C during the day and around 20-25 in the evening/night. Still nice for the beach etc.

See that you have met Crocodile =) He's very nice although as you say a personality. Say hello to him from the two finnihs girls that were in Kaohsiung last year (that is if he still rembembers us =). All the best and enjoy the warm weather...soon it will actually be so cold (20c) that you want to buy a blanket... =)
