Sports and Shopping
Well another week came to a close with a nice weekend to wrap it all up. On Friday Martin, Jenny, Andreas and I headed to the former capital of Taiwan called Tainan. The purpose was some shopping and touristing. We took the train in the morning (thats 10am for us) and arrived around 12. We walked around the much cleaner and shopping friendly city for several hours mainly window shopping around but also looking at locals and trying to figure out what they were up to and what their average day is like.
Finally we were all shopped out and headed down to the "Eternal Golden Fort" to see what the guide book called "Extraordinary sights, cannons and structure, with great photo oppertunities"... The result was something quite different. The place was actually a bit of a dissappointment but worth seeing non the less.
On Saturday the school organised a 3 on 3 street basketball tournament and ofcourse we decided to take part (Our team: Joe, Pavel and I). The tournament was well organised and a lot of fun. 48 teams took part and after 5 straight victories and two narrow defeats (to the tournament winners in the semis and then to another team) we placed 5th and got a pair of sports socks as a prize. We were the best team in terms of exchange students which was also a good achievement. It was also great to get our new uniforms which finally arrived the same morning at 9am (enjoy the photo of the taiwanese kid about to get squashed :D). Heres a fun fact about asian quality: After three matches the logos on the front pealed off! :D. So we are taking them back and getting them sown on instead!Another fun thing happened on sunday morning when i took my suit out of the closet to have a look at a small spot i saw on the sleave. It turned out many spots had decided to grow on it and that 20-30% of it was covered in mold!!! NICE!!! The same had occured to many other students clothing. Fortunatly this was nothing new to the campus dry-cleaner who assured me that it would be as good as new for the extortion like price of 3€ :D... (insert sound of relief here)
Anyways: Today is the day i get the portfolio management grades from the midterms so i am eagerly waiting for 6pm. Ill post em when i get em.
Rant of the week:
Mold... need i say more...
Bonus of the week:
3€ dry cleaning... guess they are gonna start washing all kinds of my clothes soon :D
Movie of the week:
He-Man - The secret of the sword (Remember He-Man?) YES!!! 80's is back with a vengeance with this classic movie! Just awesome!
Take care now... bye bye then!
(This last photo is great: I call it "old blind man on a scooter", for a second there we thought it really was a blind man seeing his way with his guide stick ;D)

Hi Robbe,
Just wanted to say thet the guy in the drycleaners is a God! He can wash anything of everything (red wine on my white jacket, need I say more). If something needs to be sewn, just give it to his wife =) The best thing is that it's ready in a day and costs nothing, plus he gets a happy grin on his face everytime you talk chinese to him.

True that! The grin was definatly there. My pants are going in tomorrow, when i pick my jacket up, for some light sewing.
I can't wait to pick the jacket up and see if he performed a miracle or not :D
Have to wait two more days for the Portfolio results as our teacher is sick. The suspense is killing me :|
The treat of the week end: Robbes blog´- every time! Have to think of something else when you're back. Here the weather was white for a week or so, but is now greyish and dark and +5. Heading for Kitö one more time on sunday.
