Roof Bar & Baseball
With Taroko and Green Island behind us it's back to school again and I have a lot to get done so that it doesn't all pile up at the end. Chinese tests, homework etc. combined with a very hard finance projection to be done in excel and one 15 page paper to finish makes for a dull time :D. But everyone needs a break every now and th, right?
Last weekend was the largest party in Kaohsiung ever! Called the "Canadian Invasion" (guess where the guys who organised it came from), it was basically 3000 people partying on the beach outside our school. They had 2 huge stages, 1 for hip hop and the other for trance and house. The organizers had brought in some serious DJ's and Taiwans biggest rapper MC HotDog (seriously, that's his name :D) for the party and the atmosphere was great!
On tuesday, it was Andreas (SWE)'s birthday. We woke him up with gifts and song and in the evening we went out to eat. We went to a place called rooftop restaurant, which is a really nice restaurant/bar at the top of a 15 story building with an awesome outdoor terrace that has an equally awesome view of Kaohsiung. We enjoyed something called "asian fusion" cooking (mostly thai mixed with western styles) and then had a couple of drinks. They also had "shee shaa" (pardon the spelling, it is a waterpipe by the way) so we had to try that (Note to concerned parents: NO DRUGS are involved). We tried the apple flavored tobacco which was really good! 
After dinner we headed to Tai Ru Ge sports facility were we tried out the batting cages. Basically there is a machine that shoots baseballs at you and you wack them, this is however easier said then done.
The high ball is easy (40km/h) but when you move up to 80km/h and 90km/h it gets really tricky. Andreas (SWE) even tried the 110km/h which was really fast (Note: one could even go for 140km/h if you wanted to but seeing as you can't even see the ball at that speed its pretty pointless :D). All in all the evening was a great success and i thoroughly enjoyed it.The basketball season is off to a fairly good start with 2 victories, 1 loss and another game today at 6:40. Then its back to the books!

Hi! did you read my last post? (it's on 21.11 article) Tell Andreas happy birthday from me! I've heard that the waterpipe's supposed be spelled like "Sischa" but i'm not sure (that's the french version of the word). i've heard that apple is great, we were supposed to try it with my friends when we were in france but never found the place (because of excess use of alkohol before that.. :D). And well, since i don't and can't smoke i probably would have died in coughs so maybe it was better this way:D
Hope you don't get too stressed out by all the schoolwork :( I just had an exam about the realtions between majorities and minorities and it went really well!

You know I'm really starting to miss u now! The hollidays are coming, why don't you come too?? :(
I've actually tried sischa (or whatever)that tasted like oranges..but that wasn't so good :S I can imagine thou that apple's nice :) Say happy b-day to Andreas from me too, and what's up here... nohing really... It's really warm, like plus 7 or something...! Oh and it's MY birthday too soon! :):)
But like I said, I really miss u alot! And i will try ty zip the files, but I will most likely not be succesful! :( PUSSS!
